In any case, the show's ended.
Thanks for all your sweet comments and support for my little first foray into local TV drama series. :P
I'd posted some behind-the-scenes photos sometime back, but locked them up in case of spoilerish materials. But for anyone interested, here they are again:

Because of this show, I'd specially dug out my old TV set which was surprisingly still in working condition, and started watching the programme faithfully every night...
And I'm really glad I did...
Every episode had been well made (kudos to Wawa Pictures), and each individual story well told...
And from what I've heard, everyone's been giving it terrific reviews...
But just as I'm getting hooked and craving for more, it's almost ended...
Well, I won't be going out tonight, that's for sure... :-)
For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, do stay home tonight and catch the following show:

I'd posted the show's theme song in an earlier post (HERE), so now, I wanna share the sub-theme song, which I am loving a lot right now:

"谁说我不在意空等候
原来 你从来都没深刻爱我
我才懂不是我不心痛
其实是心没了感受
你没想像中爱我"
In my next entry, I'll be posting the rest of the photos I'd taken during my involvement in this episode...
And yes, this is the episode that I'm in. See if you could spot me... :-)
Hope you'll enjoy...

I might be biased, but from the looks of the TV trailers, the above MTV by Xinhui, and working with the wonderful cast, I reckon this will be a very good show...
What do you think?

On Vesak Day, I woke up early and headed over to Novena Medical Centre for Day 2 of the film shoot for "Perfect Cut", the new Channel U series to be aired in late June or early July...
Due to a last minute change of shooting plans, I ended up waiting in the lobby for almost 3 hours. By the end of it, I could almost recite all my lines backwards...
When it was my turn, I managed to finish my scene with Thomas Ong within half an hour...
I wish someone took pics for us during the shoot, as that would be more interesting. But then again, those might reveal too much of the plot for the viewers...
Anyway, here are the ones I took when I had nothing to do...

Edric Hsu and Thomas Ong after the shoot

During these 2 days of filming with the full-time Mediacorp actors, I was most impressed with two things:
1) how Joey Swee was able to shed actual tears on demand, at the perfect moment, and in favour of the camera too, even after laughing and joking just immediately before her scenes...
2) how when I joked lightly about our huge height difference before our scene, Thomas quietly removed his shoes and changed into flat slippers so I wouldn't appear too short standing next to him on camera...
Other than that, I still find it a bit of a cultural shock filming in a completely Mandarin-speaking (or rather, Cantonese-speaking) environment...
But I can seriously get used to this. In fact, I would now love to do more Mandarin dramas in the near future!
Oh well, there's still one more chance for me to practice my Mandarin in this particular show, as tomorrow I'll be shooting Day 3 of my involvement in this episode, at East Coast Park...
Anybody seen my sunscreen...? :-)

After playing a despicable rapist in the English documentary series "Behind Closed Doors", my next role on TV is a total switch in character...
I'd landed my second Mandarin-speaking TV role, that of a faithful loving husband to Mediacorp actress Joey Swee, in the upcoming Channel U drama series, "Perfect Cut"...
This new series by WAWA Productions, starring Thomas Ong and Michelle Chia, is based on the plastic surgery profession, and viewers might feel compelled to compare it with the popular series "Nip/Tuck"...
But "Perfect Cut" places more focus on the psyche and psychology of the various characters who decided to go under the knife in the pursuit of "perfection", and local viewers might find it easier to identify with the said characters...
Anyway, my role only appears in the final episode (Episode #13) of this short series, and I had already completed almost all my scenes except for one more to be shot next Tuesday...
So here are the pics I took behind the scenes, during the first day of the shoot...
