Everyone knows I am such a fan of NBC's hit TV series "Heroes", so it wouldn't come as a surprise I actually went down with Lawrence, David and Alex, to Vivo City this afternoon to catch some of the cast making an appearance on this "Heroes World Tour"...

David found us a good enough spot on the upper level of the shopping mall, but there was already a huge crowd formed there...

Amidst the surprisingly massive crowd, it is no wonder if anyone would feel insignificant...

The above image was taken in November last year at the Urban Redevelopment Authority Centre's "Singapore 1:1 City Exhibition"...

It shows a scaled model representation of "Henderson Crossing", which is a futuristic looking timber bridge that's currently being built to span Mount Faber Hill and Telok Blangah Hill, pretty near where I live...

This model design won RSP Architects the Merit Award in the "Southern Ridges Bridge Design Competition", but I'm not sure if the actual construction is based on this design...

It would definitely be way cool if so, but we shall see, sometime in the near future...

This Amber pendant was given to me by my sister Alain some years ago. I never wore it, as I think it looks much better on the wall... 

I just love the way it catches the sunlight...

A year and a couple of months ago, I acted in an episode of "Incredible Tales Season 4 - Paper Bride", in which my character had an adulterous affair that resulted in my lover committing suicide and becoming a vengeful ghost...

On the first night of that shoot, we had to do a ritual scene at an old secluded temple near the cemetries, where I "married" the ghost of the lover in the form of a "paper bride"...

For this week's Photo Friday challenge, I have chosen this photo that I took in between scenes...

This pic of the "paper bride" was shot as it was burning in the furnace... except we realised the plaster-cast "face" just doesn't burn. Together with the colourful flames and dense twirling smoke, it created a rather eerie atmosphere...

The above image was taken at Lan Ohk (or The Blue House) during my recent trip to Hong Kong, at one of the few remaining historical sites slated for conservation...

Here's what the full residential building looks like...

Next to this blue-painted building (circa early 1900s) are several other residential blocks, including buildings painted in other similarly striking colours. Hope the next time I visit Hong Kong, these will still be there...

It's been a long, long while since my last PhotoFriday.com entry, but I am inspired to post something this week...

This weekend, everyone in Thailand will be enjoying their Songkran Festival, where plenty of water is showered upon all not only as relief from the hottest time of the year there, but also for fun...

I was there last year! And as part of the festivities, I was blessed by the Thai monks at one of their major temples...

Well, the past year had indeed been a blessed one for me, with everything going smoothly as can be in almost all aspects of my life. Hope this year will be the same or even better! *touchwood*

Sadly, I couldn't make the trip to Bangkok for the Songkran Festival this time. Anyway, I do have long-overdue pics from that trip yet to be posted here! Might just do so this weekend, in remembrance of the fun I had last year... LOL

While crossing the road from Raffles City to Chijmes, a beautiful sight appeared before me, right there in the sky...

Suddenly, all the worries and insecurities that have been picking on my mind just vanished, and I felt a load taken off my shoulders...

Oh my goodness, time really flies, and I barely have time to write about the loads of interesting stuff in my life. Lately all I've been doing is uploading photos or illustrations for weekly challenges...

I love insects of all shapes and sizes (household pests excluded please!) and butterflies and moths fascinate me no end...

Perhaps it's the intricately beautiful yet delicate nature of their wings, and of their lives...

To me, their appearance often signal to me that someone who loves or cares about me is thinking of me and is with me... 

This image (entry #74) shows a delicate butterfly against the frosty window in a cavern along the steep slopes of the Jungfrau Swiss Alps. I took this on 30th July, 2004. Upon closer inspection, I discovered with a tinge of sadness that it was dying...

This image of a Viennese street musician, playing an antique-looking musical instrument, (entry #494) evokes a warm kind of old world charm which I think suits the theme of "Retro" pretty well...

I took this in Vienna on 25th July, 2004, and thinking back about this wonderful European holiday is just as RETROspective for me...

Oh! If you look carefully at the shop window reflection on the left-hand side of the picture, you could see a "Roman Soldier"! Now that's RETRO alright! LOL

Right after the previous post, "FIVE", it's Friday once again and I was quite looking forward to the new theme for PhotoFriday.com...

I took the above image (entry #118) at one of Corfu's beautiful beaches on 20th July, 2004. Topless sunbathing is a common occurence there, especially on this particularly gravelly beach, and the locals hardly bat an eyelid at this liberating activity...

That is, until the tourists arrived...
