Goodness gracious me, I just realised my last postings about my February Japan trip was done in early July, and it's been almost 5 months since!!! Okay, I really should try to finish up the entire series soon, as I still have yet to post up those pics I took during last year's trip to Ho Chi Minh City, as well as this year's Songkran trip to Bangkok!!! Here's a quick recap of the previous photo entries I had already posted: And here are the ones for Day 5... ANA 7D Hokkaido Delights Day 5 - 6th February 2008 Part 1 - Shikabe Royal Hotel, Hakodate

Day 5 - 6th February 2008 Part 3 - Tokyo - Ueno, Tainantaami Restaurant
Day 5 - 6th February 2008 Part 4 - Tokyo - Ikebukuro, Shinjuku
As before, please click on the above photos to view the rest of the images in their respective galleries... I have just one more morning's worth of Tokyo pics (taken on the final day of the tour) to post (in three parts), will try to finish this series within these couple of weeks... Early last month, I had enjoyed my very first trip to Japan, travelling on the ANA 7D Hokkaido Delights tour...
My tour mates were Katrina, her mum Mrs Mah, her nieces Amanda and Aerikka, her nephew Alexander, and her ex-colleague Othman...
It was a truly wonderful and eye-opening experience, and I loved every second of it...
All in all, I took exactly 2GB of photos, which is around 1975 images altogether, including tons of landscapes and food pics...
And finally I have sorted out the first batch of pics, and uploaded them onto my Facebook Photo Album! You need not have an account to view them...
Check them out here...
I will be posting photos of the rest of the trip every now and then, once they're ready... Hope you like them, and do let me know if any particular pics caught your interest...

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR, FOLKS!!!
I've been back from Japan since Thurs midnight, but honestly, I wish I am back there again right now...

Highlights of the trip, in no particular order, include:
* Snowfall everywhere, even in Tokyo * Snowflakes on my sleeves, and icicles hanging from roof eaves * Snowscapes outside the tour coach * Onsen (hot springs) baths at four different hotels * Ice/Snow Festivals at Sounkyo and Sapporo * Toboganning with the kids in the snow mounds * Smoke emitting from the active volcano, Showa Shinsan * Wearing a Yukata * Visiting the Asakusa Senso-ji Kannon Temple, * Taking the Japan Rail trains to explore Tokyo City * Eating Kobe Beef, Sea Urchin, Hairy Crabs, etc, besides the usual but delicious Japanese fare * Celebrating fellow tour mate Regina's birthday at tour leader Gina's room * Reunion dinner at Tainantaami Taiwanese restaurant * Met up with my Japanese friend, Toshi, in Tokyo * Budget shopping * etc
There are so many fun and exciting things I'd done and tried during this short holiday, and I am pretty sure that I will return to Hokkaido and Japan again very soon!
I will add on to the above lists as and when I could, as well as post as many of the photos I took online as possible...

Hey folks, it's been a couple of weeks since I last updated this blog, and although I have plenty to write about and lots of photos to share, I hardly know where to begin... After my Phuket trip, I had been busy sorting out the pics I took there (will post them up soon), and also getting prepared for my next travel destination: Japan! From 1st Feb (today) to 7th Feb (first day of the Lunar New Year), I will be following my good friend Katrina and her family and friend on a 7D Hokkaido Delights Tour by ANA Tours... Here is our itinerary: http://www.fch.com.sg/htm/hdl.htmI heard that Japan is freezing right now, and it could possibly go below -30degC at the mountains of Sapporo!!! Because of this, I'd spent the past few weeks buying a whole new set of winter wardrobe, from tuques (beanies), down jackets, scarves, woolen socks, to long johns and even a new 25" luggage... I think I'm all set... By the way, Sapporo is famous for its annual Sapporo Snow Festival with its popular and magnificent ice sculptures... I am just as excited about their well known therapeutic and relaxing onsens (hot springs)... I also can't wait to experience being "lost in translation" in Tokyo city, although I'll only get to spend less than 2 days there... Still, I'll be back in Singapore just in time for a scrumptious Chinese New Year dinner at my auntie's place on 7th Feb, and that is also an event I wouldn't want to miss! My flight tonight is at 11.25pm, but I doubt I can sleep from all the excitement... I'll have my phone in case anything urgent arises (like money coming in!! or new job offers!!), but PLEASE do not send me any Chinese New Year greetings messages okay? In the meantime, since I won't be online for the next seven days (not going to bring my laptop there), I would like to wish all of you in advance: I'd originally created the above auspicious greeting artwork for my friend Bryan's Omhealth blogs ( Here and Here), but do feel free to use this version for your desktop or mobilephone wallpaper if you think it'll look nice there... :-) See ya all in a week's time!!! HUAT AH!!! :-)
